After graduating from the Institut d’Etudes Politiques de Bordeaux and training as a political scientist (Diplôme d’Etudes Approfondies in Social Sciences), Samuel Bossart started a career in finance and gained more than 10 years experience in three different retail and corporate banks: BNP Paribas Fortis as an Account Manager for SMEs, Crédit Agricole (Crelan) as a Senior Market Manager for SMEs, and Triodos Bank as a B2B Marketing Manager. Samuel developed a speciality in SMEs financing, and was involved in strategic partnerships, bank digitalisation, and circular economy.
Samuel joined Finance Watch in January 2018 as a Network Coordinator.
On behalf of Finance Watch, Samuel has been a member of the EU Expert Group “Support to Circular Economy Financing” from December 2018 to December 2021.
In November 2019, Samuel was appointed Head of Operations & Projects. From March 2021 to April 2022, he was appointed Head of Communications & Networks ad interim, on top of his responsibilities.
Since May 2022 Samuel holds the role of Head of Communications & Operations focusing on:
- Ensuring operational excellence in the organisation (programmes monitoring and learning, processes, tools, human resources, legal & compliance, budget and cash flow, grants administration, event management, and office logistics).
- Delivering high-quality communication outputs to various stakeholders (strategic communications, press, marketing, graphic design, corporate communications, newsletters, policy communications, membership engagement, advertisings, and data & CRM management).
