Nicholas Dorn is a sociologist with interests in law, politics and markets.

His recent books are Democracy and Diversity in Financial Market Regulation (2015) and Controlling Capital: Public and Private Regulation of Financial Markets (2016). His most recent work takes a historical turn, exploring pre-modern aspects of sovereign money and credit, adding to contemporary critiques of finance.
