Con Horan

Con Horan has worked in financial services regulation since the 1980s. He rose through the ranks of the Central Bank of Ireland during the course of his career, holding managerial positions in a number of areas of financial sector activities.

In 2011, Con joined the European Banking Authority and worked at EU level until his retirement in 2022.
He devoted most of his final years to crisis management issues, having observed the lack of preparedness that existed in 2008.

He qualified as a Chartered Accountant in 1994 and holds a number of other third level qualifications.
